ביקורת ורקע: אחרי הצלחת סדרת אוספי שנות השמונים "שמונים מי יודע?" וההצלחה היפה של האוסף "זה חוזר - להיטי שנות ה-70", בהד ארצי לקחו את זה צעד קדימה (או אחורה) והוציאו אוסף כפול שנקרא "גדולים מהשישים". את האוסף ערכו הבכירים במחלקה הבין לאומית של הד ארצי באותה התקופה, יואב רייס ורן עצמון והם אספו 54 שירים מהקטלוגים של וורנר, BMG ו-MCA. למרות שפה ושם יש כאן יציאות מיוחדות, בגדול אין יותר מדי הפתעות בבחירת השירים באוסף והוא ברובו צפוי בבחירותיו. זה לא דבר שלישי, בהתחשב בכך שבהד ארצי, על הרפרטואר העשיר שלה, לא החזיקה אוסף סיקסטיז בשוק באותה תקופה.
